Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between organizational climate and work performance in the transportation company Expreso Internacional Palomino SAC for the year 2018. This study was qualitative, descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional, also the data collection was done through the use of techniques and instruments such as interviews and surveys, which were conducted to 111 workers taken from a population of 156, where questions related to job performance and organizational climate were executed. It is necessary to specify that job performance was made up
of four dimensions: personal conditions, work characteristics, interpersonal relationships and personal policies, while the organizational climate was made up of three dimensions: organizational culture, organizational design and human potential. Both variables were measured with the Likert scale and the instruments used were Rocca’s and the MINSA questionnaire. The results obtained show that 100% disagreed with the organizational climate, 97% disagreed with the work performance variable. The Spearman correlation technique showed that there is a positive relationship between organizational climate and work performance (Rho=0.210); however, it was found that the dimensions organizational design (Rho=0.021) and human potential (Rho=0.111) have no relationship with work performance. It is concluded that organizational climate is significantly related to job performance, an increase in the work climate of the transportation company contributes to better performance.
